The Indian Society of Medical and Pediatric Oncology (ISMPO) Congress which was recently held in Jaipur saw the launch of a major new resource, Early Breast Cancer: Evidence-Based Diagnosis and Treatment, providing a comprehensive, multidisciplinary guide to managing early-stage breast cancer.

The book is split into 14 chapters and is contributed by 23 eminent medical experts and oncologists.

The book begins with a detailed overview of breast cancer epidemiology and trends by Dr. Indoo Ammbulkar, who discusses the rising incidence of breast cancer globally and in India. The screening guidelines and recommendations chapter by Dr. Jaishree Goyal provides a thorough analysis of both global and Indian screening protocols.

Further chapters by Dr. Roshni Bhagwat Pande highlights AI’s role in improving breast cancer screening, enhancing mammography and MRI accuracy, and enabling earlier detection of lesions.
