OPDs in District Hospitals to be upgraded: UP Health Minister

Bareilly: Uttar Pradesh Health Minister Sidhartha Nath Singh said the Out Patient Departments (OPDs) in district hospitals of the state will be upgraded to meet NABH standards.


Speaking at the inauguration of an e-health centre here, Singh said: “The state government will operate 150 mobile medical buses in the state, so that better health facilities can be provided to patients living in rural areas.” Singh also said that the district hospital in Bareilly will be upgraded to meet National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH) standards.


He said Bareilly will be turned into a medical hub.


Finance Minister Rajesh Agarwal said that good education and better health facilities were needed for the development of the state and the country.
