Goa: Parrikar launches Deen Dayal Swasthya Seva Yojana
Panaji: Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar launched the Deen Dayal Swasthya Seva Yojana, the flagship scheme of the Goa government, at Kala Academy here.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Parrikar stated the government has fulfilled most of its promises given to the people of Goa at the time of elections.
Highlighting various schemes such as Graham Aadhar, Ladli Laxmi, Old Age scheme that were introduced by his government in Goa after taking over the reigns, he said each scheme had been introduced after studying the social problems and making effort to give solace to the people.
Goa Chief Minster Laxmikant Parsekar said the Deen Dayal Swasthya Seva Yojana covers hospitalisation in government and empaneled private hospitals.
The scheme, he said, provides health insurance for entire resident population of the state who are residing in Goa for five years or more.
Spelling out the other benefits of the Scheme, he said it covers a cashless hospitalisation upto Rs 2.5 lakh for family up to three members and up to Rs four lakh for a family of four or more members.
