Kolkata: Kolkata Police officers probing into alleged medical negligence by Apollo Gleneagles Hospital leading to the death of Sanjay Roy, summoned doctors of the hospital for questioning in connection with the case.

The Police had earlier asked for the list of doctors who had attended Roy, who was admitted at the Apollo Gleneagles Hospital on February 16 after a road accident.

Sources in Kolkata Police said investigating officers wanted to speak to the doctors to ascertain whether there was any medical negligence on part of the hospital.

The probe team from Phoolbagan Police Station had already spoken to Roy’s wife Ruby and other family members.

When contacted, the hospital authorities, however, denied of receiving any such notice from the Police.
