Puducherry Health department performed well, praise health ministry

Puducherry: Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Services has lauded the performance of the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare Services of Puducherry government in the last financial year 2015-2016.


A release from the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare Services here today said the Secretary to the Union Ministry of health and Family Welfare, B P Sharma had written a letter to the Chief Secretary of Puducherry Manoj Parida appreciating the good performance of the Union Territory in timely utilisation of funds and in undertaking health sector reforms in previous financial year.


The letter also said consequent to the good performance, the Union Territory had earned 'an incentive of 7 percent over and above the stipulated resource allocation.'


The Ministry of Health had also expressed hope that the Puducherry would continue the good performance in the current fiscal (2016-2017).
