Renowned ENT surgeon Dr C Srinivasa Raju to be conferred prestigious IMA Doctors' Day Award

Vijayawada: Renowned surgeon Dr C Srinivasa Raju has been selected to receive the prestigious IMA Doctors' Day Award. He has been a member of the Indian Medical Association for many years and is currently assigned the post of president of the IMA AP state brunch. He will receive the honour on the eve of National Doctors' Day on July 1 in New Delhi.

He will receive the award from the Union Minister of Health Mansukh Mandaviya. Srinivasa Raju was selected for the award in recognition of his contribution to medical science.

He is practising as an ENT surgeon in Eluru of Andhra Pradesh since 1985. He worked as the combined A.P. state General secretary of the Indian medical association in the year 2008-2009. He served in various posts for the state IMA including the post of regional joint secretary, and state & national council member. He also served as the national joint secretary from 2009 to 2010. He has been working as a Central committee member of IMA H.Q. since 2008
IMA Andra Pradesh posted on social media stating, " Dr CSRaju conveyed hearty thanks to @IMAIndiaOrg for conferring him with IMA DOCTOR' DAY AWARD – 2022 on the eve of Doctors' Day. The Award Ceremony will take place on 1st July 2022." The Bidhan Chandra (BC) Roy Award was instituted in 1976 in memory of B. C. Roy by the Medical Council of India. The Award is presented by the President of India in New Delhi on July 1 on National Doctors' Day.
He has worked towards building a united medical fraternity. Expressing his firm beliefs, Dr CS Raju, state president, of IMAAP gave a clarion call to his fellow IMA members and stated, "Let's build vibrant, passionate and peaceful IMA. We have a lot of work to do and provide security and strength to our members. Let us rededicate our thoughts and deeds to make- Long LIVE IMA."
