Patna: The family of a deceased NEET candidate in Bihar has alleged that they have received threats that their son will meet the same fate as their deceased daughter.

The police officials have informed that the family filed a complaint after the incident.

In the complaint, the family alleged that a piece of paper was thrown inside their house, which read, "You have lost your daughter and if you don't listen, you will lose your son too".

On this, Rahul Kumar, SHO of Shakurabad police station in Jehanabad district, said, "A similar piece of paper with a threatening message was thrown inside the house on Saturday. Therefore, security arrangements have been made at his home. We will investigate the new complaint and take appropriate action”, quotes PTI

Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that in the ongoing investigation into the alleged rape and death of a medical student from Jehanabad district, the CBI team was re-examining evidence at the girls' hostel in Patna, where she was found unconscious and questioning everyone in detail.

Earlier this week, an 18-person CBI team arrived at the student's home in Jehanabad. Officials questioned her parents, neighbours, and several villagers for nearly five hours. The interrogation focused on specific questions, including the girl's late-night call to her father on December 26, 2025, and her sudden return home the next day.

The agency's action followed a detailed search operation on Saturday at the girls' hostel in Patna, where the student was staying while preparing for NEET. The team searched the area for approximately three and a half hours. Forensic samples were collected from books, notebooks, clothing, corners, doors, windows, and the floor of the victim's room.
