NEET solver gang bust- Intelligence bureau, police raid Bihar's medical college hostel
Giriyak: Following the uncovering of an organised NEET 'solver gang' by Nalanda Police and the arrest of an MBBS student along with two others, Intelligence Bureau (IB) and local police carried out a joint raid at Bhagwan Mahavir Institute of Medical Sciences in Bihar as part of the ongoing investigation into the alleged NEET paper leak case.
The investigators found that Kumar is believed to be the alleged main leader of the solver gang who stayed in the medical college hostel with 2 others.
Based on the information found during the investigation, the Intelligence Bureau (IB) along with police teams from Pawapuri Assistant Police Station, Giriyak and Katarisara police stations conducted the operation. Officials searched the medical college campus and hostel rooms for several hours in an attempt to trace links connected to the alleged racket.

During the raid, investigators searched room number 110 of the intern hostel and rooms 502 and 503 of the Type-4 accommodation block. Jagran reported that the main leader of the alleged solver gang, lives in room number 110, while other two are said to reside in room number 502.
The team conducted a thorough search in the rooms in the presence of the officials. According to sources, 2 of the accused are cousins and both lived together in the same hostel. Their background history is currently under investigation.
Apart from this, the IB team also questioned several junior doctors and officials of the medical college during the operation. During this period, several important documents related to the college were examined.
Moreover, a two-member IB team spent several hours questioning people inside the superintendent’s chamber. The team said that the investigation of the items and documents recovered from the accused men's rooms is ongoing.
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that the Nalanda Police busted an organised NEET 'solver gang' and arrested a second-year MBBS student along with two others. The arrested individuals were allegedly part of a “solver gang” that helped candidates appear for exams in place of the original applicants. Their main motive was reportedly to earn money by providing proxy examinees for NEET and other competitive examinations.
For this, the group would collect large sums from aspirants, use forged admit cards and arrange proxies to enter the examination. The three accused were arrested after being found with a large amount of cash, fake admit cards, and digital evidence linked to the racket. The arrests took place during a high-alert vehicle checking drive conducted ahead of the now-cancelled NEET-UG 2026 exam.
