AYUSH centers should be at par with allopathic ones: Haryana Health Minister

Chandigarh: Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij said here on Wednesday that an appropriate action plan will be prepared for setting up Panchkarma centers in major cities of all districts of the state. For this, the department have been instructed to make the action plan soon.

Director-General of the Department Atul Dwivedi met Mr Vij for the first time after taking charge. The Minister said that the AYUSH medicine centers should be at par with the modern medicinal system for the welfare of people.

Mr Vij said the AYUSH Department will have to pay special attention to the construction work and extension of it's activities of Krishna Ayush University, Kurukshetra, so that it can be mainstreamed in a timely manner.

He said the department would build Ayurvedic health centers and dispensaries in all hospitals of the state, so that people can avail appropriate benefits. This will also promote health tourism in Haryana, he added.
