Miscreants misbehave with lady doctor of RIMS in Giridih, CM orders probe
The miscreants allegedly misbehaved with the lady doctor posted at Ranchi's Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences(RIMS) while she was travelling to Deoghar via Giridih and also beat up the driver of her vehicle, after which she shared the incident on her Twitter account and tagged Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
Ranchi : Chief Minister Hemant Soren today ordered the Giridih DC and SP to probe the incident of alleged harassment of a lady doctor and beating of her driver by a group of miscreants while on their way to Deoghar from Ranchi on Monday night.
The miscreants allegedly misbehaved with the lady doctor posted at Ranchi's Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences(RIMS) while she was travelling to Deoghar via Giridih and also beat up the driver of her vehicle, after which she shared the incident on her Twitter account and tagged Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
Post the complaint, Hemant Soren tweeted that the security of the people, especially the women in the state is of paramount importance.
"I regret the inconvenience you had to face," he wrote and directed the district administration to probe the incident and take necessary action.
On the other hand, Health Minister Banna Gupta, wrote on his twitter handle that he had tried to get in touch with the doctor, but she did not pick up the phone.
He, later, directed the Giridih SP and Civil Suregon to take necessary action.
He asked the victim not to be worried as he was personally looking into the matter.
Following the directions of the Chief Minister, the Giridih Police said police personnel have been deployed in the Left Wing Extremist(LWE) areas for the security of the people travelling in the night.
Yesterday night, the jawans noticed a car was speeding away on the road. When they directed it to stop, the driver sped away.
The Giridh Police said the car was asked to stop thrice, but the driver did not relent. The vehicle was finally caught at Koldiha and the policemen asked the driver why he did not stop his vehicle.
Two police jawans Rajendra Kumar and Kumar Vardaj have been suspended in the incident.
