Bengaluru: Through recent notices, the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has released the First Round Seat Allotment Schedule along with the post counselling procedure and instructions for candidates seeking MBBS and BDS admissions in the state. 

All the concerned candidates who are appearing for NEET Counselling 2020 with the KEA are requested to view the said details attached below:

First Round Seat Allotment Schedule
As per DME letter dated 24-11-2020, first round seat allotment schedule for admission to Medical and Dental Courses through UGNEET-2020, has been revised and given below.

Publication of first round allotment Result

25-11-2020 – Afternoon

Exercising Choices by the seat allotted candidates

26-11-2020 to 27-11-2020 up to 8.00 pm

Payment of fees by Choice-1 and Choice-2 candidates only

From 11.00 am on 26-11- 2020 to 28-11-2020 up to 5.00 pm

*Deposition of original documents in person only by Choice-1 fee paid candidates.

(Venue: at KEA, 18th Cross, Malleshwarm, Bangalore)

From 11.00 am on 27-11- 2020 to 29-11-2020 up to 5.00 pm

Last Date for Reporting at the Allotted Medical / Dental College by Choice -1 Candidates Only as per their eligibility and verification slip

*Deposition of documents: (First Round)
1. Candidates, who have been allotted Government seats in Private Medical or Dental colleges and Private seat in Private Medical or Dental colleges and exercised Choice-1, should deposit all the original documents at KEA, Bangalore with one set of attested photocopies as per their eligibility. (Verification Acknowledgement slip, Annexure-1 and Annexure -9 (Rural Service Bond) given in UGNEET-2020 Information Bulletin should also be submitted.)

2. Candidates, who have been allotted seats in Government Medical or Government Dental Colleges and exercised Choice-1, should submit all the original documents with one set of attested photocopies as per their eligibility at the time of admission at the respective colleges. (Verification Acknowledgement slip, Annexure-1 and Annexure -9 (Rural Service Bond) given in UGNEET-2020 Information Bulletin should also be submitted.) (ESIC Bond hosted on KEA Website).

3. Candidates who have been allotted NRI / Others seats in private Medical or Dental Colleges and exercised Choice-1 should submit all the original documents as per their eligibility with one set of attested photocopies at the time of admission at the respective colleges. (Verification Acknowledgement slip, Annexure-1 given in UGNEET-2020 Information Bulletin should also be submitted.)

During Deposition of documents, candidates should compulsorily wear mask and carry hand sanitizer with them. Only the candidates are allowed inside the KEA premises for deposition of original documents. Candidates and parents should maintain social distance and should follow the SOP notified by the Health Department / Government.
Schedule for deposition of original documents will be notified on the KEA Website in due course to the first round Choice-2 fee paid candidates & Choice-3 Candidates and also to the eligible candidates who wish to participate in UGNEET-2020 second round seat allotment for admission to Medical / Dental courses. Deposition of original documents is mandatory to all the eligible candidates who wish to participate in the second round UGNEET-2020 for admission to Medical / Dental Courses.

Compulsory Rural Service for one year: All candidates who take admission to Medical course shall under go one year compulsory rural service in Government hospital as per Karnataka Compulsory Service Training by Candidates Completed Medical Courses, Act 2012 as amended in 27/09/2017 and Karnataka Compulsory Service by Candidates Completed Medical courses (Counseling, Allotment and Certification) (Amendment) Rules, 2017. Please note that candidates will be entitled to only temporary registration till completion of such service. Until they complete the same, they will not be entitled for permanent registration. All the candidates who will be allotted Medical Seats through KEA both in Government and Private Medical colleges should compulsorily submit sworn affidavit to the Principal of the respective college at the time of admission (on a hundred Rupees e-stamp paper signed by the candidate and the parent as per the format hosted on the KEA Website) regarding one year rural service after completion of the course.

Caution on Deposition of original documents by the candidates:
Original documents submitted by the candidates will be verified / tallied with that of the documents uploaded by the candidates. Upon such verification during or after deposition of original relevant documents, If any documents uploaded are not matching with the original documents, seat will be cancelled at any stage during the course of study without any further notice or if it is found that the Candidate has produced fake, fraudulent certificates, forged documents, he/she will be liable for criminal prosecution in accordance with law, immediate loss of allotted seat without any notice whatsoever, forfeiture of fees paid and levy of penalty as may be decided by the UGET Committee and will be liable to be debarred from all exams / Counseling in future; the authorities may also recommend blacklisting of the Candidate to UGNEET / MCI / DCI / KMC and cancellation of license.
Further the Government of Karnataka, the Karnataka Examination Authority, the Directorate of Medical Education, and the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences reserves the right to cause any verification as deemed essential at any point of time into the originality and authenticity of any of the certificates produced by any candidate to fulfill and stake his/her claim to any of the qualifying and eligibility criteria. If on such verification it is found that the Candidate has produced fake, fraudulent certificates, he/she will be liable for criminal prosecution, immediate loss of allotted seat without any notice whatsoever, recovery of monetary compensation as may be decided by competent authority, will be liable to be debarred from all exams in future besides the Government will recommend blacklisting of the Candidate to NEET / MCI / DCI / KMC and cancellation of license.

Instructions to candidates

1.Candidates please note that allotment is being conducted separately for UGNEET-2020 (Medical / Dental courses).

2. Eligible candidates have entered the options separately for Medical / Dental courses.

3. Candidates may be eligible for Medical / Dental courses.

4. In the first instance, Medical / Dental seat allotment result is being published.

5. Eligible candidates can participate in both the seat allotment by entering their options separately, i.e., for Medical / Dental courses and also for Engineering, Architecture, Agriculture, Veterinary, Pharmacy, Naturopathy & Yoga courses etc.

6. By exercising the appropriate choice, candidate who may be allotted any Medical/Dental seat in Medical round, can also participate in Engineering, Architecture, Agriculture, Veterinary, Pharmacy, Naturopathy & Yoga courses etc. seat allotment.

7. If any Medical or Dental seat allotted in the Medical round and if a candidate select Choice-1, then such candidate will not be considered for allotment of Engineering, Architecture, Agriculture, Veterinary, Pharmacy, Naturopathy & Yoga courses etc. seat even though he/she has entered the options for Engineering, Architecture, Agriculture, Veterinary, Pharmacy, Naturopathy & Yoga courses etc.

8.Therefore the candidates who may be allotted Medical /Dental seats are here by informed to select the right choice in the medical round to become eligible to participate in the Engineering, Architecture, Agriculture, Veterinary, Pharmacy, Naturopathy & Yoga courses etc. seat allotment if they are interested.

First Round Post Seat Allotment Procedure — Choices before a candidate

After verifying the seat allotment results, a candidate has the following four choices (only for the candidates who have been allotted a seat). If a candidate fails to exercise any of the following 4 choices within the stipulated date and time then the seat allotted to such candidate stands cancelled automatically without any further notice in this regard and he/she will not be allowed to participate in further rounds.

Choice 1: I am satisfied with the allotted seat and am willing to report to the allotted college; therefore I should not be considered for further allotment of seats in any subsequent round for any college / discipline. I will pay the prescribed fees for the seat allotted by downloading the e-Challan or NEFT / RTGS / IMPS Challan as per the procedure detailed in the KEA Website, and later on I will download the admission order and report to the college. Immediately afterwards, I will login to my Option Entry Log-In-ld and I will report to KEA that I have joined the College.

Further the College Authority will have to login to their College Login-ID and report that the respective candidate has joined the College. If a candidate fails to report back to KEA that he / she has joined, then seat will be cancelled even though they might have physically joined.

Further any candidate who has paid the fees and obtained the Admission Order and fails to report to the College on or before the last date and time specified by KEA in the Admission Order, for such candidates no extension of time will be given and the allotment made in his / her favour shall be treated as Cancelled and he / she has no claim further on such allotment and they will not be considered for allotment of seats in the subsequent round. Such seats shall revert back to the pool and fee paid by them will be forfeited.

Implication: Not eligible to participate in the subsequent rounds.

Important: Before opting this choice candidate is advised to make sure that he / she cannot come back to Option Entry Process in UGNEET-2020 for Medical / Dental courses or in UGCET-2020 i.e., Engineering, Architecture, Agriculture, Veterinary, Pharmacy, Naturopathy & Yoga etc.

Choice 2: I am satisfied with the allotted seat but wish to participate in the next round. Such candidates will pay the prescribed fees by downloading the e-Challan or NEFT/RTGS/IMPS Challan from the KEA website for the seat confirmed or allotted in the first round. In the second round, if higher options get allotted then first round seat gets cancelled automatically oR if higher options seats are not allotted then first round seat shall remains in candidates favour.

The candidate who exercise Choice-2, have to compulsorily pay the prescribed fees for the seat in the first round. But neither downloads the Admission Order NOR join the allotted college, but will wait for the Second Round.

Implication: Eligible to participate in the subsequent round keeping the seat allotted on hold. However, if a seat in the higher options gets allotted the candidate loses his old seat. There is no choice between the earlier allotted and newly allotted seats.

Important: Fresh options will be permitted only when the new college/courses which are included in the seat matrix after the allotment of first round only for that newly added college/ course.

Choice 3: I am not satisfied with allotted seat but wish to participate in the next round with all the already entered options( except the allotted options) by surrendering the allotted seat and also re-ordering of already entered options.

The candidates who exercise Choice-3 need not pay the fees for the allotted seat in the first round. The candidates who exercise Choice-3 are participating in the second round by rejecting the seat allotted to them in the first round.

Implication: Eligible to participate in the subsequent round by rejecting the allotted seat.

Note: Chances of getting the lower order options is subject to availability of seats as the other candidates next to your rank might have entered those options and seats would be allotted to them based on merit.

Choice 4: I am Not satisfied with KEA allotted seat and I have got seat elsewhere, so I am quitting and not to be considered for allotment of seats in any of the further rounds.

Implication: Not eligible to participate in the subsequent round no hold on the allotted seat and seat allotted earlier will get cancelled.
