Set up AIIMS in Twin cities of Hubli-Dharwad: KCCI to Union Health Ministry
Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and industry, Mahendra Ladhad, further added in the letter that the Twin cities of Hubli-Dharwad, the biggest in Karnataka after Bangalore, is logistically well placed to establish such an institute for the overall benefit of the people entire north Karnataka region.;

Hubbali: The North Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Hubli has in a letter, urged the Union Health Minister, Dr Harsha Vardhan to set up one of the Six All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) proposed in the Union Budget, in the Twin cities of Hubli-Dharwad.
The letter stated that establishing of such an Institute in Hubli-Dharwad, not only will go a long way in meeting the aspirations of the people of North Karnataka region, but will also help support development of advanced medical facilities here, as well as, academically connected medical research centre will also help develop this area as a medical and Edcuational Hub.
