Male nurse held for allegedly raping Kerala doctor with fake job promise

Kozhikode: In a shocking incident, a 24-year-old male nurse has been arrested for allegedly raping a female doctor and then sharing her nude photos on social media. The doctor was raped on the pretext of a new job at a hospital in Coimbatore.
The incident occurred in December last year when both were working at a hospital in Karnataka, police said. The complainant hailing from Thiruvananthapuram, has been identified as a female doctor who relocated to Kozhikode recently. The incident reportedly took place on December 30, 2022.
According to the police, the 24-year-old male nurse hailing from Thrissur district allegedly raped the 28-year-old doctor by giving her a false promise that a new job would be arranged for her at a hospital in Coimbatore.
The male nurse allegedly took the doctor to a hotel in the city for sexual exploitation multiple times. Both of them were then working in a private hospital in Mysuru. He reportedly established contact with the doctor by promising her a highly-paid job in Coimbatore.
