Prof Santosh Kumar Mishra appointed as Dean and Principal of MKCG Medical College
Berhampurr: Prof Santosh Kumar Mishra has been appointed as the Dean and Principal of MKCG Medical College and Hospital (MKCG MCH), Berhampur. Previously he was serving as the Medical Superintendent of MKCG Medical College.
Prof Mishra took charge of Prof Abani Kanta Mishra. As Dr Mishra will serve as the new Dean, Dr Suchitra Das, Professor, Opthalmology, MKCG MCH, Berhampur, will be taking the whole responsibility as the Superintendent, MKCG Medical College and Hospital, Berhampur from March 31 afternoon until further orders.

As per a notification issued by Health and Family Welfare Department, “Prof. (Dr.) Santosh Kumar Mishra, Superintendent. MKCG MCH, Berhampur, is hereby allowed to remain as Dean & Principal, MKCG Medical College, Berhampur w.e.f. 31.03.2023 (AN) on superannuation of Prof. (Dr.) Abani Kanta Mishra, Dean & Principal, MKCG Medical College, Berhampur until further orders."
" Dr. Suchitra Das, Professor, Opthalmology, MKCG MCH, Berhampur, is hereby allowed to remain as Superintendent, MKCG Medical College and Hospital, Berhampur w.e.f. 31.03.2023 (AN) until further orders" Newsroom Odisha further added.
Prof Mishra completed his MBBS from MKCG Medical College in 1984. He pursued MS (ENT) from SCB Medical College, Cuttack in 1994. He was appointed as the Lecturer and Assistant Professor at VSS Medical College, Brula and MKCG Medical College, Berhampur from 28.03.1986 to 24.07.2008. He served as the Associate Professor, at MKCG Medical College, Berhampur till 2013. He started serving as the Medical Superintendent, at MKCG Medical College in 2019.
