6 Doctors Booked over Bank Manager's murder charges

Ludhiana: Six doctors and two others have been booked recently on charges of murder of a bank manager, whose body was recovered from a Muktsar canal. They were booked after the deceased man's wife filed a complaint alleging that her husband was murdered by the eight people after hatching a conspiracy and thereafter tried to pass it off as an accident.
It was alleged that on the morning of the fatal day, the deceased had an argument with a man named Kaku Sandhu, who had borrowed Rs 4 lakh from the deceased. Meanwhile, the other doctors had taken a loan from the bank where the deceased was the manager. All of them were well-acquainted and used to meet for get-togethers.
As per the latest media report by Indian Express, the 39-year-old deceased was a bank manager with the Central Bank of India, Lakhewali Village, Muktsar and had gone to a party with his friends including the doctors and two others on October 16. However, he did not return home.

While the get-together took place on October 16, the car of the deceased was recovered from a canal in Bhullar village and the deceased's body was also found in the car. While the FIR was lodged at Sadar Police Station, Muktsar, on Saturday, no arrests have been made till now.
