Dr Kailash Meena elected to Central Indian Academy of Pediatrics Executive Board

Jaipur: Dr Kailash Meena, pediatrician and the Superintendent of Government-run JK Lon Hospital, has been elected as a member of the Executive Board of the Central Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP). Dr. Devendra Sareen from Udaipur and Dr. Ramesh Chaudhary from Jaipur have also secured positions on the CIAP Executive Board. Dr. Meena, a distinguished figure in pediatrics, secured this prestigious position through the recently concluded CIAP election.

Dr. Kailash Kumar Meena also holds the position of Professor of Pediatrics at SMS Medical College, Jaipur. He was in charge of the NICU (neonatal intensive care unit) at Zenana Hospital for 20 years. He has received a State Award from the Chief Minister of Rajasthan for Excellence in the medical field. He has served as National TOT (Training of Trainees) for FBNC, FMNCI, NSSK Critical Care TOT- NALS, and PALS.

Dr. Devendra Sareen is the senior Professor and Head, Dept. of Pediatrics, Geetanjali Medical College, Udaipur, Rajasthan. He is an EB Member Rajasthan CIAP 2021 and the National Joint Coordinator for CADE Module 2021. He has presented almost 200 scientific papers at various conferences. He acted as the resident IAP Udaipur Branch in 2005 and 2006.

Dr. Ramesh Chaudhary is an MBBS from Dr. SN Medical College, Jodhpur, and an MD in Pediatric Medicine. He worked as a senior resident at Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi. He worked as a medical officer at PHC Dangawas, Nagpur, after which he served as an associate professor at SMS Medical College, Jaipur. He has been a state academic coordinator for IAP NRP (Newborn Resuscitation Program) FGM.

The Indian Academy of Pediatrics was established in 1963 in Mumbai, with a little more than 150 Pediatricians as its members. The Indian Academy of Pediatrics is committed to improving the health and well-being of all children. For this purpose, the Academy dedicates its efforts and resources. At present, there are over 32,000 members across the country. It is well structured in 5 zones, with 30 State Branches. Since its inception, IAP has organized Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs by holding conferences, symposia, lectures and other meetings all over the country.
