AHPICON 2024 Conference on Sustainability and Growth in Healthcare: 15 TN Hospitals get quality awards
Madurai: The Tamil Nadu Chapter of the Association of Healthcare Providers India (AHPI) has convened its state-level conference in Madurai on June 15 centred around the pivotal theme of 'Sustainability and Growth in Healthcare.'
The association awarded 15 hospitals across the state with AHPICON 2024 awards across different categories. The event saw participation from an array of healthcare experts, including doctors, administrators, and consultants representing many hospitals across Tamil Nadu. The conference underscored the necessity for hospitals to adopt smart healthcare systems to enhance efficiency and patient care.

SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre in Trichy under the category Best Medical College Hospital in the Central Zone, Preethi Hospitals in Madurai 'Best Multi Speciality Hospital Above 100 Beds' category in the Central Zone, Kauvery Heartcity Hospital in Trichy under 'Best Single Speciality Hospital Above 100 Beds category’ in the Central Zone, Aravind Eye Hospital in Theni under the category- 'Best Single Speciality Hospital Below 100 Beds' in the Central Zone, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Medical College and Hospital in Perambalur under the category "Best Medical College Hospital” at in the East Zone, Meenakshi Hospital in Thanjavur under the 'Best Medical College Hospital' category in the East Zone, Bhaarath Medical College and Hospital in Chennai under the 'Best Medical College Hospital' in the North Zone, Apollo Speciality Hospitals in Vanagaram , Chennai under the 'Best Multi Speciality Hospital Above 100 Beds' category in the North Zone, Sree Renga Hospital in Chengalpattu in under the 'Best Multi Speciality Hospital Below 100 Beds' category in the North Zone, Sankara Nethralaya in Chennai under the 'Best Single Speciality Hospital Above 100 Beds' category in the North Zone, Medway Hospitals in Chennai under the 'Best Single Specialty Hospital Below 100 Beds' category in the North Zone at AHPICON 2024, Dr. Jeyasekharan Hospital and Nursing Home in Nagercoil under the 'Best Multi Speciality Hospital Above 100 Beds' in the South Zone, Manipal Hospitals in Salem under the category of 'Best Multi Speciality Hospital Above 100 Beds' in the West Zone, Sankara Eye Hospital in Coimbatore under the 'Best Single Speciality Hospital Above 100 Beds' category in the West Zone, and Ortho-One Orthopedic Speciality Centre in Coimbatore under the category of 'Best Single Specialty Hospital Below 100 Beds' in the West Zone.
Throughout the conference, discussions focused on the pressing needs of the healthcare sector and the role of private hospitals in advancing healthcare services. Participants explored the challenges faced by hospitals and deliberated on strategies to overcome these obstacles. The goal was to devise a comprehensive roadmap to achieve universal health coverage, aligning with the government's vision.
Among the notable attendees at the opening ceremony were Dr Girdhar Gyani, Director General of AHPI, Dr Alexander Thomas, Founder-President and patron of AHPI, Dr Sathish Devadoss, President of AHPI-TN and Vice-Chairman of Devadoss Multi Speciality Hospital in Madurai, and various other office-bearers of AHPI.
