AHPICON 2024 Conference on Sustainability and Growth in Healthcare: 15 TN Hospitals get quality awards

Madurai: The Tamil Nadu Chapter of the Association of Healthcare Providers India (AHPI) has convened its state-level conference in Madurai on June 15 centred around the pivotal theme of 'Sustainability and Growth in Healthcare.' 

The association awarded 15 hospitals across the state with AHPICON 2024 awards across different categories. The event saw participation from an array of healthcare experts, including doctors, administrators, and consultants representing many hospitals across Tamil Nadu. The conference underscored the necessity for hospitals to adopt smart healthcare systems to enhance efficiency and patient care.

The prestigious Life Time Achievement Award of AHPICON 2024 was bestowed upon the eminent surgeon Prof Mohammed Rela, founder of Rela Hospital in Chennai. Dr Rela's dedication and groundbreaking work have significantly advanced the field, setting new standards in medical excellence and patient care. This recognition celebrates his enduring impact and unwavering commitment to improving health outcomes.

The inauguration session at AHPICON 2024, the largest healthcare event in Tamil Nadu, brought together doctors and healthcare leaders from across the state to ensure the event's success. Mr Sivaramakrishnan R discussed practical strategies for ensuring financial stability and fostering growth. Each speaker shared insights on managing finances effectively to sustain and expand their businesses. The session on "Financial Sustainability and Growth" was chaired by Dr. Sathish Devadoss and Dr. Raju Sivasamy at AHPICON 2024.

Experts including Dr T. Palaniappan, Mr Ram Natesan, and Dr Arun N. Palaniswami shared their thoughts. The session on "Disruptive Technologies for The Future of Healthcare" was chaired by Mr Venkata Phanidhar and co-chaired by Mrs Sandhya Cherian. It featured Dr Ilankumaran Kaliamoorthy, Mr U. K. Ananthapadmanabhan, Dr Arunkumar Govindarajan, Mr Suman Katragadd, and Mr Subbaraman Balasubramanyan at AHPICON 2024. These experts discussed innovative technologies shaping the future of healthcare, offering valuable insights into emerging trends and advancements.

The session on "Importance of Quality in Achieving Sustainability and Growth" was moderated by Mr Adel J. It featured experts such as Dr Rohini Sridhar, Dr Lallu Joseph, Dr A. K. Ravikumar, and Dr M Prabakar. Other speakers shared their insights on the challenges hospitals face in complying with the law and how they navigate these issues to ensure they meet all legal requirements at AHPICON 2024.

Throughout the conference, discussions focused on the pressing needs of the healthcare sector and the role of private hospitals in advancing healthcare services. Participants explored the challenges faced by hospitals and deliberated on strategies to overcome these obstacles. The goal was to devise a comprehensive roadmap to achieve universal health coverage, aligning with the government's vision.

Among the notable attendees at the opening ceremony were Dr Girdhar Gyani, Director General of AHPI, Dr Alexander Thomas, Founder-President and patron of AHPI, Dr Sathish Devadoss, President of AHPI-TN and Vice-Chairman of Devadoss Multi Speciality Hospital in Madurai, and various other office-bearers of AHPI.
