Hyderabad: In a commendable initiative, Madhavi Reddy and Srikanth Mandumula, a Telugu doctor-couple residing in the UK, have spearheaded the much-needed transformation of Masaipet Zilla Parishad High School.

Completed within a swift six-month timeframe, the project incurred a total cost of ₹60 lakh. The endeavour's success can be attributed to the effective collaboration between village administrators, the school principal, teachers, and numerous well-wishers.
Thanks to the collective efforts of international charity organizations and a local educational society, a new science and library block now stands proudly in the village of Medak district. The school facilities have been elevated to the standards of well-known private institutions, providing the children of Masaipet Zilla Parishad High School with improved learning environments.
Dr Suguna Ram Mohan Educational Society, Empowerment through Education, Shanta Foundation, and the Lions Club of Enfield, UK, joined forces with Dr Madhavi and her husband to come up with the project and it was dedicated to her father, Anthireddy Gari Keshava Reddy. The newly constructed block includes a dedicated science laboratory for engaging experiments and a fully equipped library to inspire a passion for reading beyond the curriculum. This marks the second impactful project by the doctor-couple, following the complete revamp of a primary school during the academic year 2019-2020. The earlier project introduced colorful benches, a library room, and vibrant visual learning aids, reports The Hindu.

As per a recent media report by Sakshi Post, Over the years, the doctor couple's initiatives have left an indelible mark on education and healthcare in various villages.

The couple's efforts not only focus on education but also extend to health services, exemplified by the medical ward in Burgula Village. Their commitment has positively impacted lives, with students completing education, securing jobs, and inspiring others. Dr Srikanth and Dr Madhavi express gratitude to their supporters, family, friends, and organizations like the Lions Club for contributing to their charitable ventures.
