UP Cabinet Approves Proposals for New Medical College, Nursing College, Saifai medical University Expansion
Uttar Pradesh- A cabinet meeting was held recently under the leadership of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in which 19 proposals were approved, Finance Minister Suresh Khanna informed in a press conference. In the meeting few important proposals were made which included the establishment of a new medical college, a nursing college and a construction a a new gynecology block in the medical university in Saifai.
According to the Jagran Media News Report, the Finance Minister said that free land has been transferred for the medical college in Ballia district. On this, the cabinet has approved the transfer of 14.08 acres of district jail land to the Medical Education Department free of cost. Out of this, 12.39 acres of land will be given to the medical college.
Besides, a nursing college will also be built in Bulandshahr. On this, the cabinet has approved the transfer of 4570 square meters of land of the National Agricultural School to the Medical Education Department free of cost, informed Suresh Khanna after the cabinet meeting in the press conference.
Meanwhile, the medical college will be named after freedom fighter Chittu Pandey. Along with this, a statue of freedom fighter Chittu Pandey will also be installed on about 2 acres of land, which will further enhance the beauty of the land. Chittu Pandey is the pride of India and hence the medical college will be named after him.
Apart from this, there has also been an agreement to give financial approval for the construction of a 300-bed gynecology block in the medical university in Saifai. The budget of Saifai Medical College is Rs 1 billion 76 crores. 300 more beds will be added here, report Jagran.
