There is a common misconception that piles, also known as hemorrhoids, can lead to cancer.

Hemorrhoids are swollen and inflamed veins in the rectum or anus caused by increased pressure in the area. While they can be uncomfortable and cause bleeding, they are considered a benign condition. It's essential to differentiate between hemorrhoids and other severe conditions such as colorectal cancer.

Although both hemorrhoids and colorectal cancer can cause rectal bleeding, it's crucial not to attribute bleeding solely to piles.
