Swine flu death reported at Jabalpur hospital

Jabalpur: A 45-year-old woman who had tested positive for H1N1 virus (swine flu) died at a government hospital.


Chief medical and health officer Dr M M Agrawal said the woman, hailing from Katni district, was brought to the government hospital last night in critical condition.


"She had been admitted to a private hospital here about a week ago," Dr Agrawal said.



The woman tested positive for H1N1 virus and was shifted to the government hospital at around 8 pm where she was declared dead, he said.

Apart from swine flu, she was suffering from other diseases as well, he said.
