Chennai: In an effort to make healthcare accessible to all, the state government is making efforts to get the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers certification(NABH), for 125 more hospitals. The State Health Minister, C. Vijaya Baskar, confirmed the move, while speaking to The Hindu.
The Minister also stated that NABH accreditation will soon be made mandatory for all the hospitals in the state and a policy is under formulation regarding the same. Minister added that this would enable better administration of Chief Minister's comprehensive health insurance scheme. Better healthcare provisions will be available with these hospitals after the accreditation.
