Telangana Govt to hire 394 Senior Residents, Issues Guidelines

Hyderabad: In order to equip government medical colleges across the state with competent senior residents, the Telangana State Government has sanctioned the recruitment of a total of 394 posts. In addition, the government has also issued a list of guidelines on the appointment of these doctors.
The concerned authorities have sanctioned nearly 523 posts of Senior Residents, on the basis of Medical Council of India (MCI) and Dental Council of India norms. Of them,
- Nearly 158 posts to be recruited under contract basis.
- Another 394 posts are for seven Government Medical Colleges (including semi-autonomous Institutions) and one Government Dental College attached to Osmania General Hospital. (On the recommendation of Director of Medical Education)
Moreover, the government has also announced to provide a consolidated pay of Rs 70,000 per month, confirms a recent report by Telangana Today. Working hours will be between 8 am and 5 pm.
