Telangana: State IMA Body adopts Narsingpally village for development

Nizamabad: The Indian Medical Association, Telangana region has adopted a village “Narsingpally” with an aim to develop it, in association with the Maa Palle Charitable Trust run by the family members of noted Telugu film producer Dil Raj.

IMA president, Suresh Kumar told The Hindu, that this decision of IMA to adopt the said village was taken as a part of implementation to its slogan Padandi Palleku — lets go the villages.

The IMA members led by Kumar planted saplings in the village to initiate  drive towards uplifting of the village on Sunday.

It is to be noted that as part of the development row, the association will be conducting different activities in the village, including facilitation of free medical camps and awareness programs in the premises to help residents understand the importance of health and hygiene.

Calling to the people of the village to utilize the services which will be provided by doctors , Kumar stated , “We feel it is our opportunity to serve the people in rural areas, and therefore we request them to make use of the services. People are suffering from several diseases due to lack of awareness and hygienic conditions."

The former IMA presidents Sambhasiva Rao and M. Vinodekumar Gupta also praised the adoption, also affirmed people saying that regular health care camps will be organized in the village following the adoption.

Thanking the IMA for its gesture, Maa Palle Charitable Trust chairman Narsimha Reddy said that his trust and the villagers would extend their cooperation in conducting the health camps.
