Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das  said that to ensure that people living in far flung areas of the state and especially those who hail from the weaker sections of the society get modern health care facilities the government has started telemedicine facility which would be highly beneficial for the weaker sections of the society.


Addressing the people after inaugurating 100 telemedicine centers across the state which have been set up with the help of Apollo Hospital Enterprise Ltd and launching the Anemia Mukt Bharat programme at Pithoria of this district he said that in this digital dispensary people would be availing the facilities free of cost.


He said that the state government wants to make a Digital India and a Digital Jharkhand and whether it was the area of health, education, agriculture and pension the government was using IT and through DBT the people were getting the benefits of the schemes and said that it was a result of IT that middlemen are being removed from the state.


Mr Das said that at present 300 health and wellness centers are being run in the state and by 2022 their numbers would be further increased and said that IT was being used to not only reduce the gap between the people and the governed but also between the patients and the doctors.
