TN: Medical College Assistant Professor allegedly ends life, reason unclear

MADURAI: In an unfortunate incident, a female medical practitioner ended her life by allegedly committing suicide last week


The doctor has been identified as on Dr Janani, 34-year-old who was working as an assistant professor in Theni Government Medical College Hospital in Virudhunagar.


Her husband, Dr Irusappan who is also a doctor and working in the Virudhunagar Government Hospital found her body at his residence in the room, hanging from a ceiling fan, reports TOI 


The reason behind her death is not clear. The police have not recovered any suicide note from the spot


The police have registered the case and initiated further investigation. Her body has been sent for the post-mortem.
