Ambassa: A patient has succumbed to her illness in the district hospital due to the lack of ambulance as has alleged the relatives of the patients in the subdivision of Ambassa in the northern Tripura district of Dhalai here .


According to the information, one patient identified as Ranjani Debbarma of Praklaipara habitation under Ambassa block has admitted into the Dhalai district hospital with stomach and vomiting around 1000 hrs. Later, around 0100 hrs at night the doctor has referred her to Agartala Medical College and Hospital(AGMC). But due to the lack of ambulance, she has not been taken to AGMC. Around 0500 hrs, she has succumbed to her illness.


Her father-in-law Ajit Debbarma has alleged that, she has not been taken to AGMC as there was not any ambulance at that time. It has sparked resentment among the local people.
