New Delhi/Itanagar: As part of Army’s continued endeavour towards ensuring better health care in remote areas of Arunachal Pradesh, a Medical Camp was organised by Chowkham Battalion under the aegis of Dao Division at Chowkham.
The camp catered for the kind of medical problems faced by the local population and also to bridge the paucity of health services in the area, an Indian Army spokesperson said.
The response was overwhelming and over 1900 people of the district predominantly from the areas of Ganganagar, Alubari, Namliang and Chowkham benefitted from the Medical Camp, he added.
Free medicines were also distributed during the camp.
To create a deeper understanding of personal health, a health museum was also set up.
On conclusion of the event, the district administration and local village heads expressed their deep appreciation to the Indian Army for organising the camp, the spokesperson added.
