Dr Mohit Sharma (MBBS, MS (General Surgery), MCh (Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery)) is a Senior consultant, Professor and Head (Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery) at Amrita Hospital, Kochi having over 20 years of experience in the field of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr Sharma specialises in application of microvascular techniques for solving complex reconstructive problems. His team is well known for starting the first Vascularised Composite Allotransplantation (VCA) programme in India in the year 2015 and has acquired one of the largest body of experience for any single centre in the world in the field of Hand Transplantation. He is also the reviewer for various international journals as well as the Indian journal of Plastic Surgery.
