Dr Nirmal Kumar Lohiya is a distinguished Professor at the University of Rajasthan, India, with an extensive academic and research background in the field of reproductive biology. He earned his Ph.D. in Reproductive Biology from the same institution in 1975. Throughout his career, Dr. Lohiya has made significant contributions to reproductive health research, particularly in male contraception and fertility regulation. His work has garnered national and international recognition, leading to his election as a Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences, India (FNASc) in 2000, and as a Fellow of the National Academy of Medical Sciences (FAMS) in 2003. Dr. Lohiya has held esteemed positions such as NASI Senior Scientist and Emeritus Medical Scientist, and has served as President of the Indian Society for the Study of Reproduction and Fertility (ISSRF).
