Labs and critical care blocks will be set up in rural areas and blocks apart from wellness health centres in urban areas of every district of Himachal Pradesh.
Under the Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (ABHIM) scheme, the central government will release Rs 400 crore to the state government to develop infrastructure in the state, said a spokesman of the HP Health department.
The government has made this arrangement so that if other epidemics like corona spread, then it can be dealt with in time. According to the information received from the Health Department, teams of doctors will be stationed in wellness health centres.
Tests of patients will also be done on the spot. Medicines and other health facilities will be available in the centre itself. The department says that patients suffering from epidemics like corona will not be admitted to medical colleges and hospitals. Such patients will be admitted to the critical care block.
Taking lessons from Corona, the Himachal government has made this arrangement. In the state, 4,117 people have died due to corona. 2, 85,170 people have come under the grip of this disease.
Himachal Pradesh still has 103 active cases.
Principal Secretary Health Subhasish Panda said today this arrangement has been made to deal with the epidemic. The central government will release Rs 400 crore to Himachal under the Abhim scheme. This amount will be available in the form of Rs 70 to 100 crore every year till the year 2025-26 to strengthen the health facilities, the secretary added.
