Lured by gold scheme, Ayurvedic doctor loses Rs 20 lakh to employee
Mumbai: A Mumbai based ayurvedic doctor was cheated of Rs 20 lakh by one of her employees on the pretext of investing in lucrative gold schemes.
Her employee, who had also not paid her rent and power bills collectively amounting to Rs 2.85 lakh, lured the doctor to invest in a lucrative gold scheme.
According to the complaint by the ayurvedic doctor, the accused was hired by her as a relationship manager for various marketing-related activities in 2016. The accused then told her about an offer, where he claimed to know about various gold investment companies which would give her lucrative interest in return.

However, when he began avoiding her questions, she filed a cheating case against the accused, reports Times of India.
Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported about a cheating case, wherein, a 51 year old doctor had lost around Rs 13. 59 lakh after a gang of five people duped her on the pretext of sending gifts. They had contacted her through the social media application Facebook via a fake profile claiming to be a doctor from Italy.
