Nightly rounds protocol at MGM Medical College to enhance security
In response to the tragic rape and murder of a female postgraduate doctor in Kolkata, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has directed deans of medical colleges and hospital superintendents to conduct nightly rounds to enhance security measures. This initiative aims to improve security measures and ensure a safer environment for patients and hospital staff.
After the directive, Dr Sanjay Dixit, dean of MGM Medical College, has begun conducting nightly rounds at hospitals affiliated with the college, including MY Hospital, MTH, and Cancer Hospital. Dr. Dixit’s night rounds are part of a broader strategy to strengthen the hospital’s security infrastructure.

RIMS junior doctors clash with security staff, several injured
In a violent clash that erupted between junior doctors and home guards deployed for security at Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) Ranchi, several junior doctors and home guards of the institute were allegedly brutally attacked resulting in severe injuries and some were also admitted to the emergency department.
The junior doctors have alleged that the clash occurred because the security staff started a physical confrontation with them over the issue of identification cards to enter a stadium inside their campus.

NMC halts CPS Mumbai courses, issues warnings to hospitals and students
Soon after recommending the Union Health Ministry to ban the PG medical courses run by the College of Physicians and Surgeons (CPS), Mumbai in the State of Maharashtra as well as other States/UTs, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has officially discontinued all the CPS Mumbai courses across the country.
The confirmation to this effect has been announced through a recent NMC notification issued under the authority of Prof. Dr B. Srinivas, NMC Secretary, who addressed the Directors/ Principals/ Deans & HoDs at all Medical Colleges/ Institutions under NMC, to strictly adhere to the public notice on the- 'Discontinuation of all the courses running under the umbrella of College of Physicians & Surgeons (CPS), Mumbai.'

Violence at Prayagraj Hospital, Senior doctor loses vision in left eye after mob attack
In an alleged case of violence against a medical professional at Ganga Hospital in Prayagraj, a senior physician and a former professor of the Medicine Department at Allahabad Medical College, Prayagraj was allegedly brutally assaulted by attendants of a patient leading to serious vision loss in his left eye.
The doctor was subject to violence after the death of a patient who was already suffering from septicemia. It is an infection that occurs when bacteria enter the bloodstream and spread. Even though the patient had existing health problems, the family blamed the doctor for the death and violently attacked him, causing him to lose vision in one eye.
