Releasing the Draft amendment to the National Medical Commission (Recognition of Medical Qualification) Regulations, 2023, the Apex Medical Commission has proposed removing the existing Rs 2.5 lakh application fee for the recognition of a doctor's medical qualification.
In the official Gazette dated 16.07.2025, NMC released the draft regulations to further amend "National Medical Commission (Recognition of Medical Qualification) Regulations, 2023". The Commission mentioned that these regulations, titled "National Medical Commission (Recognition of Medical Qualification) Regulations (Amendment), 2025", shall come into force from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that NMC had published the final National Medical Commission (Recognition of Medical Qualification) Regulations, 2023, in the official Gazette dated 29.12.2023 to bring uniformity in the matter of recognition of medical qualifications.
