Chaos at West Delhi Hospital over deceased's body
Rumour has it that Chaos Ensued at Maharaja Agrasen Hospital today, over the corpse of a deceased lady. As per sources, the hospital refused to release the body of the patient to the kin due to non-payment of the bill. The deceased, 45 year old lady was suffering from tuberculosis and was admitted in the ICU of Maharaja Agrasen Hospital, Punjabi Bagh almost a month back on the 29th of June,2015.
The kin of the patients created an uproar, when as they claim, the hospital refused to release the body of the patient until full payment ( going into lakhs of rupees) was made. The police was also called at the
As per hospital's management, the patient was on ventilator for majority of the period, during which the kin did not make payments. MS, YB Sharma said, "We have released the body without payment. The kin have taken the body and the matter was closed in a very short period of time."
