Delhi gets its first Mohalla clinic in Peeragadhi
Chief Minister, Mr Arvind Kejriwal recently inaugurated the mohalla clinic paving way for easy and accessible treatment for people in their neighborhood
Built at a cost of Rs 20 lakh, Delhi’s recently got its first mohalla clinic, as the concept is called to make healthcare service available in your neighborhood. This facility was inaugurated by the Delhi Chief Minister, Mr. Arvind Kejriwal recently in Peeragadhi. With an ambitious target of constructing 1000 such hospitals, meaning one clinic in 15 assembly district, the Delhi government has taken the first step towards achieving the milestone.
With this launch, the cost of building a dispensary has come down significantly. The objective is also to ease the crowd pressure in public hospitals like AIIMS, Safdurjung hospital, RML, where people will tend to visit for more serious issues. Now, quality healthcare is brought to your doorstep. Air conditioned hospitals such as this is a big relief measure for poor people who are saved from the hassle of travelling long distances
In the month of June, while presenting the budget, Delhi government's Finance Minister had set out the plan of of setting 500 Mohalla Clinics in all parts of Delhi in the current financial year
