Depression Strikes again: PG Anaesthesia from Madurai Medical College commits suicide by injecting poison
Preliminary investigations revealed that PG Anaesthesia medico was under depression for the past few days. On September 12th, he had allegedly injected poison to himself and died.
Madurai: In an unfortunate incident, a doctor pursuing PG Anaesthesia from the well known Madurai Medical College allegedly committed suicide by injecting poison at his rented flat in the city recently.
The doctor was allegedly depressed for a past few days which allegedly drove him to take the drastic step.
According to a recent report by UNI, the 29-year-old, hailing from Cuddalore district, was found dead on September 13th morning. Suicide note has recovered from the spot.
Preliminary investigations revealed that he was under depression for the past few days. On September 12th, he had allegedly injected poison to himself and died.
After reaching the flat of the deceased medico, the police reportedly recovered an empty syringe and medicine bottles, besides a suicide note from the room.
The body was removed to the Government Rajaji Hospital morgue for post-mortem.
The police have registered a case and are currently investigating the matter.
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported about the unfortunate demise of two doctors. While PG anaesthesia medico from Safdarjung hospital was found dead with an intravenous drip in his hand; an army doctor's decapitated body was found on a railway track at the New Delhi railway station.

Earlier, a 24-year-old female doctor who was pursuing her MD Gynaecology at SMS Medical College had allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling fan of her hostel room.
