AP: DMHO serves Memo to Medical Officer, Suspends Clerk for Misusing Funds

The authorities at the hospital checked the records only to find that a cheque worth Rs 1,000 was already sanctioned in her name and as per the account, given too.
Alur: Taking action against exploitation of funds allotted by the govt, the District Medical and Health Officer (DMHO) has recently issued a memo to a medical officer and suspended a clerk attached to Alur General Hospital.
As per guideline laid down under the National Health Mission Scheme, the government would extend financial assistance of Rs 1,000 to every lactating woman.
Well aware of the norm, a woman, resident of Muddanageri village in Alur Mandal, approached the hospital clerk Mallikarjuna and asked for the financial aid. The clerk diverted the issue and didn’t respond to her complaint whenever she approached him, she alleged.
Other hospital staff came to know about the issue by the woman. The authorities at the hospital checked the records only to find that a cheque worth Rs 1,000 was already sanctioned in her name and as per the account, given too.
Soon, the issue reached to District Medical and Health Officer (DMHO) JVVRK Prasad, who immediately formed a team to investigate the blunder and submit a report accordingly.
However, the allegations raised by the woman proved to be true, further to which DMHO Prasad served suspension orders for the clerk and issued a memo for the Medical Officer Dr Jayakrishna, reports The Hans India.
