Doctors back to work after District Legal Cell intervenes in BRIMS issue

The ongoing protest of BRIMS doctors post the police atrocities towards the resident doctors working there, has come to an end, with the doctors finally resuming work. This comes after the intervention of District Legal Cell headed by Hon'ble District Sessions Judge and three other judges. Sources say that the SP did express his lack of communication with the proper authorities that led to the unfortunate incidents and showed willingness to restoring public order.

The incident goes back to when police conducted lathi charge on the doctors and medical students of BRIMS medical college and allegedly arresting 4 doctors without any intimation and warrant. The doctors protested to this action of the police by conducting a Mass Resignation from the college.

With the district legal cell intervening, and promising to protect the rights the doctors, BRIMS doctors Association decided to withdraw the strike, with the doctors returning to work from today.
