Dr Reddy’s Laboratories to launch pain relief spray in India
Dr Reddy's Laboratories is reported to have introduced a pain relief spray under 'Nise D Spray' in the Indian market. This initiative can be viewed as a part of its efforts to increase its presence across the Indian over-the-counter (OTC) market.
With the entry in this new healthcare product vertical, Dr Reddy’s Laborataries is targeting to grab a share of the massive pain relief products in India, estimated to be around Rs 1700 crore.
To be made available in a pocket pack size priced at Rs 99, the spray will also come in an additional home pack for Rs 130, as confirmed the by the company in a press statement. Nise D spray offers quick and targeted pain killing, the company said.
Dr Reddy's EVP and Head Branded Markets (India & Emerging countries) MV Ramana said: "Nise D Spray marks our entry into the new segment and further boosts our OTC portfolio."
Dr Reddy's said that as per A C Nielsen Retail Measurement Study MAT August 2015, the market for pain relief products in India is approximately Rs 1,700 crore.
