First year MBBS student in AIIMS hangs herself in room
A first year MBBS student in AIIMS was found hanging in her room with no trace of suicide note at the premise
A first year MBBS student at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi is reported to have committed suicide in her hostel room last night. The incident was reported by students in the girl’s hostel in the wee hours of the Sunday night at 0250 hours and the AIIMS security and staff immediately informed the police.
No suicide note has been found in the room. Police are still investigating the matter. However, the authorities have completely ruled out a case of ragging or harassment by the seniors as a reason. The police have seized the mobile phone of the girl to gather more clues on the case.
Khushboo hailed from Bikaner in Rajasthan, and has joined AIIMS in July as a first year MBBS student.
