Free dialysis services will be provided in Gorakhpur hospitals: UP CM
Gorakhpur: With an aim to provide better health care to people, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Thursday that free dialysis services will be provided in every district hospital here. Adityanath inaugurated a 10-bed dialysis unit at the Gorakhpur district hospital.
"Our government is very serious towards better health services. Keeping in view the increasing number of kidney patients, the decision has been taken to provide free dialysis services. The plan comes under the Ayushman Bharat scheme," he said.
"The Ayushman Bharat is the biggest health scheme ever and under it, 1,18,00,000 people in Uttar Pradesh will be benefited," the chief minister said.
The insurance scheme provides an annual health cover of Rs 5 lakh per family.
