Jammu: Equipped with all necessary equipments for Corneal Transplant procedures, the Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu recently got first ever eye bank.
Advisor to Governor K Vijay Kumar inaugurated a state-of-the-art Eye Bank at Government Medical College Jammu and dedicated it to restoring sight to the corneal blind.

The Eye Bank will provide a full scope of services ranging from counselling for families, cornea and eye collection besides processing and distribution of corneas to the needy.
