Government provides financial aid to develop trauma care facilities in Himachal
The central government is reported to have sanctioned an aid of over 17 crore to facilitate the development of trauma care facilities in Himachal Pradesh.
In another major step forward, the Union Health Minister, JP Nadda is implied to have said that an AIIMS has also been approved for the state, and adequate measures are being taken by the government to make it operational soon.
This is part of the centrally-sponsored scheme of the ministry of health and family welfare for “Capacity Development for Developing Trauma Care Facilities in Government Hospitals located on National Highways”.
“The ministry of health and family welfare has sanctioned grants amounting to more than Rs 17 crore towards upgradation and strengthening of trauma care facilities in government hospitals in Himachal Pradesh,” an official statement said.
Minister for Health and Family Welfare J P Nadda said his ministry was committed to strengthening the healthcare infrastructure in the hill state.
