The 10th of October every year is celebrated as World Mental Health Day. On this occasion, the Medical Dialogues team interacted with Miss Aanandita Vaghani, a Mental Health Counselor.

According to the WHO, World Mental Health Day 2023 is an opportunity for people and communities to unite behind the theme ‘Mental health is a universal human right” to improve knowledge, raise awareness, and drive actions that promote and protect everyone’s mental health as a universal human right.

Good mental health is vital to our overall health and well-being. Yet one in eight people globally are living with mental health conditions, which can impact their physical health, their well-being, how they connect with others and their livelihoods. Mental health conditions are also affecting an increasing number of adolescents and young people.

So to talk to us on this note in detail, we have Miss Aanandita Vaghani, a Mental Health Counselor.

Miss Aanandita holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Wesleyan University in CT, USA. Having worked in settings with children and adolescents alike, Aanandita learned how emotions and our perceptions of them start at an early age. While pursuing an MA in Counselling for Mental Health and Wellness at New York University, she has learned how to deploy emotion in her interactions with clients, to empower them and change the way they see relationships and the world around them.

Dr. Nandita Mohan

Dr. Nandita Mohan is a practicing pediatric dentist with more than 5 years of clinical work experience. Along with this, she is equally interested in keeping herself up to date about the latest developments in the field of medicine and dentistry which is the driving force for her to be in association with Medical Dialogues. She also has her name attached with many publications; both national and international. She has pursued her BDS from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore and later went to enter her dream specialty (MDS) in the Department of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry from Pt. Aanandita Vaghani

Miss Aanandita Vaghani is the Founder and Mental Health Counsellor at UnFix!. She specializes in helping patients overcome and manage anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), obsessive-compulsive disorder, and social anxiety. Other areas of her expertise include interpersonal relationships, somatoform issues, and self-esteem challenges.
