Document Claims Student Secured MBBS Admission at Sion Hospital, NMC Declares Fake

New Delhi: Warning candidates of a fake document that claims that a particular aspirant secured an MBBS seat, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued a public notice in this regard.
The public notice issued by NMC, the apex medical education regulatory body, contains the fake document attached with it.
As per the fake document, which has been addressed to a medical aspirant from Punjab, the student secured an MBBS seat in Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital and Medical College, which is better known as Sion Hospital, under the Central Government quota seats.
"This is a confirmation letter from the National Medical Commission, that your application for the admission in undergraduate program of M.B.B.S session 2021-22 is being considered under central government nomination & pull quota, you have secured a seat in LOKMANYA TILAK MUNICIPAL GENERAL HOSPITAL AND MEDICAL COLLEGE (SION HOSPITAL) MUMBAI," stated the letter.

"You will get an allotment letter in MOP-UP round and same you will receive through letter, further you must report at allotted college which will be mentioned on allotment letter," added the letter which claimed that it has been issued by Dr Sandhya Bhullar, Secretary to NMC.
However, clarifying that the document is fake, NMC in the public notice dated 20.11.2021 mentioned, "It is informed to all that the above attached document is fake and is not issued by NMC. All concerned may take notice of this."
National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted its 3rd National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (UG) – 2021 throughout the country on 12 September 2021 in 202 Cities at 3858 Centres for admission to the undergraduate medical courses in all medical institutions including those governed under any other law. The examination was conducted for the first time in foreign countries (in Dubai & Kuwait) also. It was also conducted for the first time in the medium of Punjabi and Malayalam, in addition to the existing 11 language mediums.
