NMC calls on MBBS students to submit online feedback on medical education

New Delhi: After launching the Online Student Feedback Form for MBBS students studying in medical colleges and institutions under its purview, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has urged all eligible students who have not yet filled out the form to participate.

The Commission clarified that the feedback will be anonymous and will be used solely for academic review and quality improvement.

In a post on its official X handle, the NMC urged students to participate in the initiative, stating, "Attention Students. We Want to Hear From You!"

The Commission said that the student's feedback plays an important role in enhancing the quality of medical education. "If you haven't filled the form yet, we encourage all medical students to participate in the NMC Online Student Feedback Form," the commission said in the post.

The NMC said that student feedback responses will be treated as confidential and used for academic quality improvement.

Students can share their experiences through the online feedback form available at the NMC website

Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that NMC introduced the online Student Feedback Form to collect inputs from MBBS students across all medical college.

The initiative aims to gather anonymous and confidential feedback on various aspects of your medical College and medical education experience by the students in their respective institutes.

The aspects as listed by the apex medical commission include Quality of Teaching, Faculty Availability, Clinical Training, Labs, Dissection Halls ad Practical Training, Community Medicine and Rural Training, Ragging & Student Safety and Campus Culture as well as Student Welfare, Anti-Ragging Measures & Grievance Redressal, Mental Health Support, Extracurricular Activities, Curriculum, College Administration & Governance, etc.

Several students reported issues while filling out the online feedback form. One user claimed that many medical college names were missing from the drop-down menu, making it difficult to submit genuine feedback. Another user said that the CAPTCHA required to complete the form was not working.
