NMC invites applications from Medical Colleges for MD Psychiatry, MD Geriatrics courses, releases list of institutes
New Delhi: Through a recent notification, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has invited online applications from certain medical colleges under the National Health Programme for MD Psychiatry and MD Geriatrics courses. Besides, the apex medical regulator has released the list of medical colleges for the particular PG medical courses.
The applications portal is open till December 31st 2021 so all the concerned medical institutions are advised to apply with the NMC by then.
According to the notification uploaded on the official website of NMC, the applications have been invited by the Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) of the NMC for the postgraduate courses of MD Psychiatry and MD Geriatrics under National Health Programme as a tertiary component supported by General Government in various states/ union territories, from the listed institutions.
In view of the aforementioned decision, the Post Graduate Portal for submissions of online application shall remain open for the below-mentioned institutions/ colleges (only) for applying for postgraduate Broad speciality courses in Psychiatry and Geriatrics till 31st December 2021, it added.
A total of 61 medical institutions have been listed by the NMC to apply; of which 42 are for MD Psychiatry and 19 are for MD Geriatrics. Check out the list attached below:
