NMC to reopen portal for NEET PG 2025 admissions data submission

New Delhi: Noting that some medical colleges were unable to upload admission data on the portal due to technical glitches, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has reopened the admission portal for submission of the requisite information related to admissions made to Medical Colleges/Postgraduate Institutions through NEET PG 2025 for the Academic Year 2025-26.

The Commission stated that the technical issues faced by the medical colleges have now been resolved. Accordingly, the apex medical regulator has decided to reopen the NMC Admission Monitoring Portal from May 25, 2026, to June 8, 2026, for submission of admission details.

In a communication dated May 22, 2026, addressed to the Directors of Medical Education of all States and Union Territories, Medical Counselling Authorities, and Principals/Deans of all medical colleges and institutions across the country, the Under Secretary of the Post Graduate Medical Education Board (PGMEB) stated, "I am directed to state that vide this Board’s letters dated 30.03.2026 and 07.04.2026, all Medical Colleges/Institutions were requested to submit the requisite information regarding admissions made through NEET-PG 2025 on the NMC Admission Monitoring Portal till 15.04.2026."

Earlier, the Commission had fixed April 8, 2026, as the deadline for uploading admission data and subsequently extended it till April 15, 2026. The portal has now been reopened for an additional 14 days.

The decision to reopen the portal was taken after some medical colleges and institutions reported that they were unable to upload admission data on the NMC Admission Monitoring Portal due to technical glitches on the last date of submission, April 15, 2026.

Examining the issue, the PGMEB resolved the technical problems faced by the institutions. "The matter has been examined by the Post Graduate Medical Education Board (PGMEB). The technical issues faced by the Medical Colleges/Institutions have since been resolved. Accordingly, with the approval of the competent authority, it has been decided to re-open the NMC Admission Monitoring Portal from 25.05.2026 to 08.06.2026 for submission of admission details," the communication read.

It further added, "All concerned Medical Colleges/Institutions are requested to ensure that the requisite admission details are uploaded on the portal within the timeline upto 08.06.2026, without fail."

Referring to this, NMC Secretary Dr Raghav Langer informed all medical colleges and institutions under the Commission's purview about the reopening of the admission portal and directed them to upload the required admission details within the stipulated timeline.

"Kind reference is invited to the Public Notice No. N-P050(20)/9/2024-PGMEB-NMC dated 21-05-2026 (copy enclosed) issued by the Post Graduate Medical Education Board (PGMEB) of National Medical Commission (NMC) on the above subject matter being self explanatory and inter-alia informing the decision to re-open the NMC Admission Monitoring Portal from 25.05.2026 to 08.06.2026 for submission of admission details. All the concerned Medical colleges/institutions are requested to take note of instructions in the above referred Public Notice and ensure that the requisite admission details are uploaded on the portal within the timeline upto 08.06.2026, without fail," the letter mentioned.
