J&K: Doctor suspended for unauthorized absence from duty; BMO’s salary withheld
He placed under suspension a doctor with immediate effect for his unauthorized absence from duty. He also ordered withholding of salary of Block Medical Officer Rajouri for his poor performance and careless attitude towards his office working.
Jammu: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Rajouri, Mohammad Aijaz Asad recently paid a surprise visit to Sub-District Hospital Sunderbani in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
In view of complaints regarding mismanagement at the registration counters, DDC himself stood in the queue with common people to assess the factual position there.

After taking a thorough review of the situation, DDC on the spot instructed the health authorities to establish two more registration counters for facilitating the patients.
DDC reviewed the facilities being available at several units of the hospital including emergency ward, laboratory and x-ray unit, registration counter and OPD rooms.
He placed under suspension a doctor namely Dr Anil Pansotra with immediate effect for his unauthorized absence from duty. He also ordered withholding of salary of Block Medical Officer Rajouri for his poor performance and careless attitude towards his office working.
Meanwhile, the DDC interacted with the patients and their attendants to take stock of the facilities being provided to them in the hospital.
Later, the DDC made a surprise visit to other Government institutions including Government Boys Higher Secondary School where DDC interacted with the students and inspected the functioning there.
The DDC was accompanied by ADC Sunderbani, Vinod Kumar and other concerned officers.
